Day 23: Do you have a song? Which one is it?
The song of our LDR is overwhelmingly Hey There Delilah. ‘Cause she’s in the city, and she looks pretty, and there are other parallels too. Perhaps once our LDR is over, when we start a new chapter of our lives, we’ll have a new song for it.

Day 21: Give us a little insight (as much as you’re comfortable) on your sex life.

Just imagine for a moment that you’re a boy in high school, with no real sexual feelings for anything yet, who has only had six kisses in his life so far (three each to two girls, it worked out weird). Now imagine that you fall in love with a stunningly beautiful girl who loves you back, and you start dating. All of a sudden you start feeling a powerful attraction to this stunningly beautiful girl - who you’re lucky enough to be dating - that you’ve never felt before, and she informs you that she feels the same thing. A large quantity of extraordinary events follow including (but not limited to) a grassy sanctuary known as Our Spot, a shower, a snuggie, honey, a parking lot, some bobby pins, a table, Kinsey, a sex museum bathroom, ice cubes, a staircase, some ties, a sauna, a back massager, and aphrodesiac brownies (which are the best brownies you’ve ever eaten to date). Through these extraordinary events you quickly realize that not only is your girlfriend phenomenal in bed, but that she feels you are also phenomenal in bed. This combined with your incredible emotional connection with her allows every sexual experience to be mindblowing for both of you. You also realize that you both have very similar kinks and fantasies, which you are both very eager and willing to have realized at the first opportunity. It is at that point clear that you are absolutely sexually compatible with this girl, and that you will never run out of mindblowing new exploits to share with her.
It’s a lot like that.
Day 20: Is there something you regret?
No. I believe that everything happens for a reason, even if I do not have the wisdom or perspective to comprehend that reason. Therefore it would be useless for me to regret everything. Every positive and negative thing in my life has led me to where I am now, in my relationship and in general. So I acknowledge and have learned from my plentiful mistakes, and have certainly grown in every way over the past 33 months or so. But I have no regrets.

Day 19: I know there’s not one thing, but choose one of your favorite things to hear her say.
Anything that she sings. I love it when she sings. Her voice is so„, well, I made up the word lullabic to describe it, because I didn’t think other words fit. It’s so powerful, but gentle and soothing at the same time, and it calms me down and cheers me up no matter what else is going on.
Day 17: Favorite love quote?
My favorite love quote is super powerful, but not really that potent out of context, and is also a spoiler for something Caity hasn’t seen yet. So until she does see it, I’ll just take this opportunity to reiterate how beautiful my girlfriend is with this photo. It’s hard for me to grasp it sometimes. I get to wake up in the morning, no matter where I am or where she is, and know that that girl, in the picture above, is MINE, and I am HERS. I am a lucky son of a bitch, and am reminded of it often.
Day 15: Favorite love (LDR or not) song?
Come What May, from Moulin Rouge. That song strikes a serious chord with me. There are many things to be said about the love I feel, most of which I am not able to and may never be able to properly articulate. But if there’s something I can say, simply and powerfully, it’s that come what may, I will love her.
